Help with your Google reviews

How to use your Google review sign

Your sign gives customers a direct route to your Google review page. A clear position and a brief, relaxed invitation help people understand what it is for.

Test it when it arrives

  1. Scan the QR code with your phone's camera and open the link.
  2. Test the NFC tap with a compatible phone. Hold the phone near the marked area and follow the notification.
  3. Check that both routes open the correct business. Do not submit a test review.
  4. Ask another member of your team to try it, including the signed-out journey.

If a tap does not trigger a notification, use the QR code and contact us with your phone model and what happened. Do not assume a customer knows where their phone's NFC reader is.

Choose a place that makes sense

A review stand can sit at reception or beside the till. Keep the face visible, with enough room for someone to hold their phone near it.

The 95 × 95mm plate is flat and self-adhesive, making it a fixed option for tables and other locations. Test the tap and scan in its intended position before fixing it in place.

A review card is useful when you travel to customers. Keep it with the items you use at handover so it is there when the job is finished.

Give your team one sentence

If you would like to share your experience, this opens our Google review page. You can tap or scan it whenever it suits you.

Ask fairly across genuine customers. Let them decide what to write and whether to leave a review at all. Do not ask only customers you expect to give positive feedback, offer a reward, request a particular rating or tell them what to include. Do not stand over them while they write.

Check what is getting in the way

Ask your team whether people notice the sign, can reach it and understand the instructions. Try a different position if needed. Keep a simple note of changes and incoming reviews, but do not treat every new review as proof that the sign caused it.
